While some storms were expected in the area this evening the forecast was for a slight risk which was pulled back some later. However, a cell in NW IL grew into a supercell that produced some decent rotation and went Tornado warned in SE Stephenson co. and N. Ogle co. The cell was moving ESE ..This was at 6pm..
Acc. to reports 60 mph winds were reported in Freeport and nickel size hail in German Valley area.
Tree damage was reported also.
Unfortunately, I was stuck at work and couldn't break free. However, I did get some decent radar images and some pics were caught by other chasers..
